OS from SCRATCH

Hello guys!
This time I will talk to you about this project: OsdevTraining
This is an OS constructed from scratch for i686 arch. THANKS to wiki.osdev.org for initial code and explanations!
This code is not optimized and it hasn’t a good structure because my goal is to share with you how to boot an OS from scratch, not how to write well structured and optimized code. Feel free to use my code and try to improve it!
I can’t explain everything about operating systems, I would like to inspire new research.

Shellcode-Extractor

Hi guys, I’m new to this blog, my nick is neetx. I hope you will enjoy my articles and you will learn new things.

Today I introduce you a little tool called shellcode-extractor.

There are a lot of ways (and other tools) to do this, but I wrote this tool for personal use and to share it.

This is not an assembly or C course so I’ll use some words and concepts you must know, for more explanations I recommend you  Shellfl0w course posted on this blog too.

Opcodes and oprands, used in assembly language to write a program, have an hexadecimal representation.

Putting together the hexadecimal codes representing a program will form a string called shellcode:

\x48\x31\xd2\x48\xbb\x2f\x2f\x62\x69\x6e\x2f\x73\x68\x48\xc1\xeb\x08\x53\x48\x89\xe7\x50\x57\x48\x89\xe6\xb0\x3b\x0f\x05

\x means the number is an hexadecimal number.

Each block “\xnn” is the hexadecimal representation of an opcodes/oprands ( n is an hexadecimal digit).

ShellFl0w – Assembly: Th3_Rubb!t_Jump

ALERT: If there are grammatical errors or logical errors, please let us know, thank you.

Introduction

Well, we are almost at the end of the Assembly section of this chapter: C_Ass3mbly.sh, in this article I will go into some concepts that have been expressed previously and then we will discuss the control structures, how they work and when to insert them.
At the end of this chapter, there will be videos that retract these notions and there will probably also be exclusive ones.

ShellFl0w – Architectures and Assembly Hack

ALERT: If there are grammatical errors or logical errors, please let us know, thank you.

Introduction

If we really want to be able to find vulnerabilities in a computational system, we cannot fail to know the system architectures, such as memory allocations and the management of abstraction (and not) PC software. In fact, if we didn’t know that the basic unit of memory is byte, we wouldn’t understand how many of the software vulnerabilities are born and exploited. So in this article I will discuss the theoretical bases of the architecture of systems and continue with Assembly. I would advise you to always go into the subjects that I am going to deal with in this section, considering that the more things you know, the easier it is to understand and be able to exploit a vulnerability.
